WHERE
- Function Room First Floor, Roscoe Rooms. Roscoe Street, Scarborough North Yorkshire,YO12 7BY
- The location is five minutes walk from Scarborough Railway Station and associated Bus Stops. There are a number of Car Parks within walking distance of the venue.
- Tea and Coffee will be provided on a self service basis throughout the day.Soft drinks and alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase from the bar.A range of lunch options will also be available. Players are encouraged to place their orders on arrival or between rounds 1 and 2 to assist the provision avoid waiting during the lunch break.

Start time: 9:55
Finish time (approx) : 3:30
Welcome: 9:55 to 10:00
Round 1: 10:00 to 10:50
Round 2: 11:00 to 11:50
Lunch: 12:00 to 12:30
Round 3: 12:30 to 1:20
Round 4: 1:30 to 2:20
Round 5: 2:30 to 3:20

- Requests for refunds online payments accepted up to 15/06/2025 (refund will be amount paid minus transaction fee).
*Junior < 18yrs on the day
FORMAT
5-round Swiss with two sections (all games ECF rated):
- ECF Rated Open
- ECF Rated u1700, open to players with FIDE AND ECF ratings below 1700
Rules for ranking and placement in groups, in order:
- Where player has no ECF rapid rating, ECF standard rating applies.
- ECF rapid rating minimum 10 games, otherwise most recent standard grade will be used.
- If a player has a FIDE and a ECF rating, the highest grade will be used for ranking and placement in the groups.
Player can request to play in a higher section. The organiser reserves the right to move players between sections.
TIME CONTROL
25 minutes for all moves.
PRIZES
- Per section: 1st place £100, 2nd place £50
Other Prizes including Grading Prizes will be awarded based on the number of entries.
All place prize money will be shared equally between tied players.
We reserve the right to alter any and all prize money if entries fall below the expected level.
