CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
- To enter just use the entry form on this website, please remember to include your name, age and ECF membership number if you have one. Also which section you wish to enter.
- Entry fee's, please just pay £5 in cash on the day, or if you are part of a chess club please pay through your club as a group entry. (Wigan, Northwich and Stockton Heath chess clubs will be doing this)
- All boards will play using digital clocks at a rate of 10 minutes per player, with five seconds added per move for the whole game.
- There will be two sections, the Knights section will be ECF rated, whilst the Pawns section will not be rated. You are free to choose which section you would like to play in but in general the Knights is for stronger players and pawns is for beginner players.
Please note however that to enter the Knights section you must have an up to date Junior Gold ECF membership.
Other Information
- There is a carpark close to the venue on Neumann Street
- Two classrooms will be provided as seating areas for parents.
- No spectators should be in the playing hall while games are in progress.
Parental responsibility
Parents are responsible for their children between the rounds of the tournament.
Arbiters in charge during rounds have enhanced DBS check's in place, we will be following the ECF guidance on safeguarding policies.
