Venue: Hamilton Bowling Club, Strathmore Road, Hamilton, ML3 6AQ
The tournament will have 2 sections (Open and U800) and is open to all young people attending school. Players will be allocated to section based on their live allegro grade on the day. All games will be graded on the Chess Scotland allegro list.
The usual best prizes of Trophies, Grading Medals and Certificates will be available. In addition the top 5 placed will qualify for the Top Scot Final on Saturday 31st January 2026 where the prize fund will be £1200.

Players are requested to be at the venue at 9.45am for registration

Time Control is 15 mins + 10 sec increment per player.
Players from any chess federation may participate in qualifiers and final. However to win the title and any prize money, players require to be SCO Fed.
The organiser reserves the right to change the prizes, venue, timings and any other feature of the tournament to ensure its smooth running. All ungraded players will be assessed on ability and may be requested to play in the Open section.
